Sinful Sunday Weekly Round-up 335

The new prompt for October is out now and not only is being sponsored by Sheets of San Francisco but they are even putting up a prize for one lucky person.

This week I am delighted to welcome @Jodie_Griffin back to the Sinful Sunday round-up and I will let her introduce herself as she has done a brilliant job of including it in her piece.

Jodie’s Top 5 Pics of the Week

My name is Jodie Griffin, and I write steamy, sexy, and sometimes kinky, romance novels about nice girls and the ones who love them. I currently have five published books, with a sixth one on the way early next year. I’m also an avid photographer whose favorite subject is the moon (the one in the sky, not the one you flash….just to be clear!)

When Molly asked me to pick my favorite five, I thought “Oh, that’ll be easy.”

WRONG.

It is SO much harder than it sounds. I enjoyed seeing what everyone put out there, and each one stands out in its own way. But I had to come up with a way to make this decision, so as an author AND a photographer, the ones I chose for my my top five are ones that gave me an instant “plot bunny” – a story idea to go with the photo. They’re listed in numeric order, not ranked. I could NOT manage that. Also, some of these plot bunnies are going in my real on-going list of things I might like to write about some day!

Exposing 40

Woman topless in indoor swimming pool with light shining throught the windows

I love the bright colors of this one, as well as the sun shining through the glass onto the water. I can imagine a water nymph held captive, staring out toward the bay she can see but can’t reach, missing her home…

Maria Open’s Up

Woman nude in dark office with city skyline behind

I love the photograph itself, and the daring required to take it. The plot bunny for this one would involve one sexy exhibitionist and the voyeuristic admin who never considered just how well-suited for him his boss might be…

Cammies on the Floor

e stim wand sparking in the dark

The photography of this one is really cool. For this story idea, I imagine some kind of performance art group entertaining people who don’t know there’s also stealth kinky violet wand play going on….

You won’t tame this Sassy Cat

woman sitting in light from the window

I really like the colors in this shadowy photograph. I can see a high heel shoe, and a chair, and a spot of light, which makes me imagine someone is getting ready to put on a show. A sexy dance for one, maybe…

Steamy Bedtimes

woman standing naked in front of full length mirror brushing hair

I love the black & white look to this, and the hint of a reflection in the mirror. I also love the point of view of the person taking the photograph, and I can imagine she’s a submissive getting herself ready for her Dom, following instructions given earlier in the day….

Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt October 2017

I am absolutely delighted to welcome another sponsor to Sinful Sunday this month. And this one is super exciting for you all because they are offering a very exclusive prize to one lucky person, but before we get onto the details let me introduce the fabulous folks at Sheets of San Francisco.

Sinful Sunday monthly prompt sponsored by Sheets of San Francisco

Sheets of San Francisco are the home of fluid proof products that allow you to enjoy wet and messy sexy play without having to worry about the clean up. Their products are made from a highly durable fabric that not only feels great against the skin but is also breathable and extremely easy to clean which means when you are done making a mess you can bung it in the wash.

Besides just wanting to support Sinful Sunday and the blogging community they decided that sponsoring a prompt would be a great way of promoting their new print to order range. This will be a premium service that will allow their customers to order a throw printed with their own unique design and so one of you is going to end up owning a very exclusive Sheets of San Francisco throw with your image printed on it so make sure you read through all the details below to find out how to be in with a chance of being that winner.

The prompt for 1st October 2017 is: Fluids

We have decided on the word fluids but really what you want to think about is what that might mean in relation to one of the sheets. The winning image (which will be selected by myself and Sheets of San Francisco) will be printed onto one of their throws. So there are a multitude of possible options you could explore from wax to food and everything else wet and messy in between. Things to keep in mind though, the winning image will be printed on a throw that is approx 140cm x 220cm so keep that in mind how that will look when it comes to your composition. You also might want to think about keeping the colours to a minimum or even a black and white image and finally you will need to be able to provide your image (if you are selected as the winner) in a high resolution format. (see notes below on image quality) It would also be possible for an image to be printed in a repeating pattern over the throw rather than one single image it would be one single image printed much smaller but repeated over and over to cover the whole sheet.

As per usual there will be a round-up with 5 images but one of those image will be selected by Sheet of Francisco to receive one of their throws with the winning image printed on it. Whilst that one throw will be completely unique and sent to you, Sheets of San Francisco would like to be able to do promotional work around their new print to order range using the winning sheet/image and so by entering an image into this competition if your image is picked you are giving them permission to use it in their promotion for this product and in exchange you will receive your own throw.

If you wish to still join in with this months prompt but not be considered for the competition aspect that is absolutely fine. All you need to do is state in your post that you are NOT entering the competition.

Image quality

If you want to be in with a chance of winning then you will need to have a copy of your image in a high resolution format, either a high res j.peg or an image shot in RAW. You do NOT need to publish the high resolution version on your blog. Never do this by the way, it slows your site down and for any of your readers using their mobile data or who have download limits you are using up tons of that unnecessarily. Your images should also be resized for the web and never bigger than 900×600 (approx) you only need to have a high resolution copy available if you win.

However for the competition a high resolution image will need to be provided for the printer so please keep this in mind when shooting. Many camera phones have high resolution settings, some even let you shoot in RAW so don’t assume just because you only have a camera phone your image won’t be good enough. Do some research because chances are your phone can do it. However most of those setting do no apply to the forward facing lens on your camera phone and so it is probably best to avoid that.

If the winning image is found not to be available in a high enough resolution for the printing to take place then sadly the only option will be for another winner to be selected.

If anyone needs help or advice with this then feel free to get in touch. Do not be put off by this part of the competition, reach out for help and I will do my best.

Terms and Conditions.

  • This competition is open world wide
  • The linky tool will be open for you to submit your post from 6pm on the 30th of September – 11am 2nd October (UK times)
  • By submitting a post on the prompt weekend you are entering the competition unless you state otherwise in your post
  • The winner will receive one of the Sheets of San Francisco’s throws with their winning image printed on it.
  • The winner will be selected from all the possible entries by Sheet of San Francisco and myself (Molly Moore)
  • The winner will be announced here on Thursday 5th October 2017
  • Sheets of San Francisco will be doing promotional work around this competition and using the final product to promote their new print to order service. Entering the competition means you are consenting to this IF you are selected as the winning image
  • If the winning image is not available in a high enough resolution for the printer then another winner will be picked.
  • The usual rules of Sinful Sunday continue to apply.

The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month. The prompt is completely optional and you can link in as normal on that weekend whether you have used the prompt or not. The usual Sinful Sunday rules will, of course, apply. Please make sure you have read them recently so that you are fully aware of what is and is not allowed.

As always interpret as you wish, or disregard altogether and do you own thing.

Have your post ready to go for Sunday 1st October 2017. Any questions or queries can be posted in the comments below, you can email me molly@mollysdailykiss.com or tweet me @mollysdailykiss
