I love prompt week. It always seems to get everyone exploring and creating. It does make writing the round-up a challenge but it is one that I relish and love. This week the prompt was Shoot from Below. A tricky assignment for sure but wow did folks rise to the occasion
Molly’s Top 5 Pics of the Week
This one might not be quite ‘shoot from below’ but it is near enough for rock and roll and I love the viewpoint that it gives us, basically inviting us into the soft curves of her cleavage. Combined with the mask, the wild hair, the intense look in her eyes, the hat and those sexy hold-up I find this image so fucking hot.
Maria posted two images this week and mentioned that this one was her favourite and I completely agree with her. I love how the slight over exposure of the image allows us to see through the fabric to her arm adding a really interesting dimension to the shot. There is something about way she is pulling out the fabric, the little tilt of her finger and the twist of her hips that makes this image playful and sexy. Always a winning combination.
This is such a clever image. The mirror adds depth to the shot making Rebel appear to be further away than she is whilst also framing her perfectly. It must have a been a slightly tricky shot to get as well without getting the camera in the reflection.
In essence this is an up-skirt short like Maria’s but actually it couldn’t be more different. Her dress and pose implies summer playfulness but the light in this shot makes me feel like there is a slightly sinister tone to this shot, like a fairy tale I feel like maybe she has strayed from the path and in the shadows she may find herself in trouble.
This guy is so good at creepy sinister erotic image. It is style of photography that just appeals to me. I guess I like that little shiver of apprehension that a shot like this inspires in me. This one is chilling with an extra dash of menace that makes me eyes goes wide and my imagination wander to dark scary places and the title ‘It puts the lotion on it’s skin’ is just the icing on a delicious creepy cake.
Blast from the Past
This was for a competition week when the prompt was Triptychs. It is a series of images that really captures a moment. I love the apparent connection between the people in the image, there is something very sensual and erotic about it that is a very beautiful.
