Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt October 2017

I am absolutely delighted to welcome another sponsor to Sinful Sunday this month. And this one is super exciting for you all because they are offering a very exclusive prize to one lucky person, but before we get onto the details let me introduce the fabulous folks at Sheets of San Francisco.

Sinful Sunday monthly prompt sponsored by Sheets of San Francisco

Sheets of San Francisco are the home of fluid proof products that allow you to enjoy wet and messy sexy play without having to worry about the clean up. Their products are made from a highly durable fabric that not only feels great against the skin but is also breathable and extremely easy to clean which means when you are done making a mess you can bung it in the wash.

Besides just wanting to support Sinful Sunday and the blogging community they decided that sponsoring a prompt would be a great way of promoting their new print to order range. This will be a premium service that will allow their customers to order a throw printed with their own unique design and so one of you is going to end up owning a very exclusive Sheets of San Francisco throw with your image printed on it so make sure you read through all the details below to find out how to be in with a chance of being that winner.

The prompt for 1st October 2017 is: Fluids

We have decided on the word fluids but really what you want to think about is what that might mean in relation to one of the sheets. The winning image (which will be selected by myself and Sheets of San Francisco) will be printed onto one of their throws. So there are a multitude of possible options you could explore from wax to food and everything else wet and messy in between. Things to keep in mind though, the winning image will be printed on a throw that is approx 140cm x 220cm so keep that in mind how that will look when it comes to your composition. You also might want to think about keeping the colours to a minimum or even a black and white image and finally you will need to be able to provide your image (if you are selected as the winner) in a high resolution format. (see notes below on image quality) It would also be possible for an image to be printed in a repeating pattern over the throw rather than one single image it would be one single image printed much smaller but repeated over and over to cover the whole sheet.

As per usual there will be a round-up with 5 images but one of those image will be selected by Sheet of Francisco to receive one of their throws with the winning image printed on it. Whilst that one throw will be completely unique and sent to you, Sheets of San Francisco would like to be able to do promotional work around their new print to order range using the winning sheet/image and so by entering an image into this competition if your image is picked you are giving them permission to use it in their promotion for this product and in exchange you will receive your own throw.

If you wish to still join in with this months prompt but not be considered for the competition aspect that is absolutely fine. All you need to do is state in your post that you are NOT entering the competition.

Image quality

If you want to be in with a chance of winning then you will need to have a copy of your image in a high resolution format, either a high res j.peg or an image shot in RAW. You do NOT need to publish the high resolution version on your blog. Never do this by the way, it slows your site down and for any of your readers using their mobile data or who have download limits you are using up tons of that unnecessarily. Your images should also be resized for the web and never bigger than 900×600 (approx) you only need to have a high resolution copy available if you win.

However for the competition a high resolution image will need to be provided for the printer so please keep this in mind when shooting. Many camera phones have high resolution settings, some even let you shoot in RAW so don’t assume just because you only have a camera phone your image won’t be good enough. Do some research because chances are your phone can do it. However most of those setting do no apply to the forward facing lens on your camera phone and so it is probably best to avoid that.

If the winning image is found not to be available in a high enough resolution for the printing to take place then sadly the only option will be for another winner to be selected.

If anyone needs help or advice with this then feel free to get in touch. Do not be put off by this part of the competition, reach out for help and I will do my best.

  • The winner will be selected from all the possible entries by Sheet of San Francisco and myself (Molly Moore)
  • The winner will be announced here on Thursday 5th October 2017
  • Sheets of San Francisco will be doing promotional work around this competition and using the final product to promote their new print to order service. Entering the competition means you are consenting to this IF you are selected as the winning image
  • If the winning image is not available in a high enough resolution for the printer then another winner will be picked.
  • The usual rules of Sinful Sunday continue to apply.

The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month. The prompt is completely optional and you can link in as normal on that weekend whether you have used the prompt or not. The usual Sinful Sunday rules will, of course, apply. Please make sure you have read them recently so that you are fully aware of what is and is not allowed.

As always interpret as you wish, or disregard altogether and do you own thing.

Sinful Stories 2 Competition

Just in case anyone missed has it Exhibit A is hosting another Sinful Stories competition on his site. The first one of these was back in April and the idea was for people to write a piece of erotic fiction using an image from Sinful Sunday as their prompt/inspiration. The result was not only a whole host of amazing stories but it also fostered new connections between writers and photographers. It really was a community building thing so when EA asked me if I was up for another go round I eagerly said yes.

The full details of the competition, including the rules, dates and prizes can be found on Sinful Stories 2 Competition on Exhibit A’s blog but for all of you who participate in Sinful Sunday please be aware that next Sunday (9th November) is the weekend that from which people will be picking their image inspiration from. Joining in with Sinful Sunday does NOT mean that anyone has the automatic right to use your image as a prompt. They must get in touch with your before hand and get your permission and so it is completely up to you as the creator/owner of your image to decide if you wish to give permission.

Oh and don’t forget that just because you entered an image into Sinful Sunday does not mean you can not then also submit a story to the competition (you just can’t use your own image as your inspiration) and likewise to all the writers out there, you are more than welcome to submit an image you have to Sinful Sunday. Remember they have to be taken by you, or taken for you but they do no have to be of you, or of a body part…. a discarded pair of shoes, a unmade bed, a shadowy figure etc can be just as suggestive/erotic so please do feel free to join in with Sinful Sunday any time you like.

Sinful Sunday Alison Titles Competition Results

I can’t believe what an amazing bunch of entries we had for this competition. Firstly I want to thank our amazing prize sponsors; That Position (£25 Voucher) Angel’s Sex Toy ($25 Voucher) Mercury Design (One of their beautiful leather collars) Tie and Tease (The best Adult board-game on the market) for their generous donations to this competition. Without their support there would be no prizes.

I also have to thank Alison Tyler for not only allowing me to use her, or should I say her book titles, as the prompt but also for embracing the idea with such enthusiasm and joy. Please take a few moment to go and read Alison’s thoughts about this competition, they are moving and emotional.

Now to the result, despite there being 3 judges listed for this one I decided that as Alison’s books where the prompt it only seemed right for her to pick the winners, so despite the fact that we did talk through the entries the final 6 are the ones that Alison picked out as her favourites plus one, because once we were done we realised that counting had not been our strong point and we actually had 7, so rather than leave one out we decided that one of them would be given an honourable mention and that would be Penny with Stocking Up because not only are they fabulous pictures but holy cow that really is a collection of sex toys to be truly proud of!

The Winners

6th Place – Charlie in the Pool

Chest with heart shaped sweets between boobsThe book title that Charlie picked was Sweet Thing and sweet thing this image is. Sometimes the simple ideas are the best and I think this is perfect example of that. This images is clean, simple and yet very clever and despite the fact that it looks like a relatively easy image to take I don’t think it is. Getting those candies to stay in the perfect heart shape and centred on her chest I suspect was a complete bitch and I have feeling that there are probably many discarded versions of this image before this one was finally captured.

5th Place – Gritty Woman

Gritty woman wearing vampire gloves

What a truly fabulous twist on the title; Sticky Fingers. I love the powerful expression in her eyes, the way she is looking into the camera just draws you into her face and into those dark eyes but the spikes on the gloves pick up just enough light to show you that if you stepped into this image with Gritty Woman you would get a very different kind of sticky finger experience.

4th Place – A to sub Bee

rope bondage and bumble bee gloves

I am so glad this one made it onto Alison’s list because I think it is brilliant. The title, in case you have not worked it out is B is for Bondage or in this case Bee who with her bumble bee striped arms is clearly all for bondage, beautiful, decorative rope bondage at that and the bokeh effect of her wings give this shot a slightly dreamy almost fairytale feel, like a dusting of magic glitter is swirling in the air around her.

3rd place – Deviantt Kitten

Blue pubic hair

Both Alison and I loved this one, it is adorable, funny, playful and makes me almost tempted to return to having pubes and without a shadow of a doubt is the sexiest Blue Rose I have seen.

2nd Place – Kink and Poly

Jade tied up with red rope

Alison picked this as her second for many reasons but one of them being that is was very contrasting to the image that she picked as the winner which is very much about a message and this one is very much about the love of kink and intrinsic beauty of it. We both loved the slightly muted tones that bring out the deep, blood red, rope and how when combined with Jades outfit she truly captured the title she had picked; Tied up and Twisted.

1st Place – Sex Blog (of sorts)

Naked Woman looking at perfect model in fashion magazine

I am so very happy that Alison picked this as her No. 1 because in my opinion it is absolute genius. The narrative in this on the concept of ‘The Perfect Girl’ is really rather powerful. We have Charlie, who, in my opinion, looks just like a perfect girl to me, looking in at what the media and fashion world would have us believe is the perfect girl having the type of look and body shape that is acceptable to be and to admire. But the really clever little touch in this image is the perfect girl in the magazine appears to be gazing at Charlie with interest, maybe even longing for what is the real perfect girl.

You can see all the entries this week on Sinful Sunday Week 182

If you are featured on the list above then you will need to email me; to let me know where to send your prize and so I can send you your winners badge to display on your blog if you so wish. In addition all 6 winner will also be receiving an e-copy of one of her many books!

Use one of Alison Tyler’s book title from THIS LIST as a prompt for your image.

If you wish to edit it in such a way that it looks like a book cover than that is completely up to you but it is NOT a requirement, the idea is to take the wording of one her titles and create an image that in someway depicts those words. It can be as obvious or as subtle as you want it to be but clearly the idea is to use the word(s) of one of her many titles as inspiration for your image. Please use the book title you have picked as the title of your post.

I am NOT imposing a word limit but please try to keep it to a minimum. Remember this is Sinful Sunday and is meant to be ALL about the image.
