Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt December 2017

The prompt for 3rd December 2017 is: Red

Back in September the prompt was Blue. At the time I said that if folks found the prompt inspiring then I would have other colour prompts in the future. It did seem to inspire, in fact I love that page so much, the collection of blue themed icons looks so beautiful. I am hoping we can recreate something equally as beautifully with Red as the theme. I also thought that as it is the first Sunday in advent and peoples minds are turning to Christmas that Red seemed a fitting colour for the time of year.

You can interpret the prompt any way you like but possible things to consider are, your image has red tones, a red item, a red back ground etc and it might be something you do in camera or something you achieve through photo editing. Below are few ‘red’ images to help inspire you.

Trigger by Love Hate Sex Cake

Lady in Red by Cleareyed Girl

5.30am by Maria Open’s Up

Prick Teasin by Little Bitch Switch

The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month. The prompt is completely optional and you can link in as normal on that weekend whether you have used the prompt or not. The usual Sinful Sunday rules will, of course, apply. Please make sure you have read them recently so that you are fully aware of what is and is not allowed.

As always interpret as you wish, or disregard altogether and do you own thing.

Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt November 2017

The prompt for 5th November 2017 is: Over Exposed

When an image is over exposed (too bright) it is usually seen as a fault. It occurs when too much light enters through the lens of the camera. It happens when you take a photo in direct sunlight or the light source is too strong for the subject. Clearly it can ruin an image but sometimes it can also make an image, the line between the two though is very fine. If you go too far then you will lose all the detail in the image but if you play around then it is possible to over expose parts of an image thereby create a shot that has stark contrasts or very soft washed out details. So I know you all read the prompt and thought this was about exposing yourself and as per usual feel free to expose as much or as little of yourself as you like but while you are doing so try adding some extra light and see what happens. Here are some links to help inspire you

Sinful Sunday Weekly Round-up 338

Welcome to the Sinful Sunday Weekly Round-up.

Sinful Sunday monthly prompt sponsored by Sheets of San Francisco

It has been a long time since we have had a competition on this site and so when Sheets of San Francisco wanted to do one as part of sponsoring Sinful Sunday I was delighted because not only would it be wonderful to offer such a unique prize but I also would get to work with and promote a great company who make an excellent product. So before we get to the round-up I really want to just give them a massive shout-out for their support with this project.

Now I am sure you are all aware of what the prompt was for this month and the prize being offered to one lucky blogger. If not then go and check out Sunday’s post where you can see that, and all the other entries.

Top 5 Pics of the Week

Cleareyed Girl

Woman's breast and nipple with water cascading down over it

The detail in this image is absolutely phenomenal. I love the way the trails of water seems to frame her nipple and how the water is cascading of the underside of her breast creating a mist around her. The whole thing is just perfection.

Maria Open’s Up

Nude Woman wearing crown with fake blood splattered over her

I am a huge fan of Maria’s spooky, creepy images and this one is no exception. The look in her eye is absolutely chilling. It reminds me of a poster for a movie or an album cover. It is truly a piece of artwork.

Happy Come Lucky

Looking down woman with mouth open and topless with water pouring over her

I find something incredibly raw and sexy about this one. It inspired a visceral reaction in me that kept me on the page devouring this image: Her open mouth, the angle of the shot, the line of fluid dissecting the image, it just works.

A to sub Bee

Close up shot of honey running down over a womans vulva

The use of selective colour in this image is inspired. It really does make the trail of golden honey pop from the image to the extent that you then have to spend a moment or two working out what that honey is trailing over. I also love the way the honey is magnifying the parts of Bee’s skin that it is running over. This image is a visual delight.

Little Switch Bitch

nude woman with ultra violet fluid running over her body

Here we are at the final image in this weeks round-up and I have saved this one till last as it is the winner of the amazing prize offered by Sheets of San Francisco. I love the way the ultraviolet fluids pick out the shape and form of her body almost lifting it out of the bluey darkness with its bright tendrils and I really can’t wait to see this image printed out on one of Sheets of San Fransisco’s products because I think it is going to look amazing.

Sinful Sunday Week 338

Welcome to week 338 and it is the first Sunday of the month which means it is prompt weekend and this time round we have a very special prompt sponsored by Sheets of San Francisco.

Sinful Sunday monthly prompt sponsored by Sheets of San Francisco

The prompt for 1st October 2017 is: Fluids

We have decided on the word fluids but really what you want to think about is what that might mean in relation to one of the sheets. The winning image (which will be selected by myself and Sheets of San Francisco) will be printed onto one of their throws. So there are a multitude of possible options you could explore from wax to food and everything else wet and messy in between.

Things to keep in mind:
  • The winning image will be printed on a throw that is approx 140cm x 220cm so keep that in mind how that will look when it comes to your composition.
  • You also might want to think about keeping the colours to a minimum or even a black and white image
  • You will need to be able to provide your image (if you are selected as the winner) in a high resolution format. (see notes in this post on image quality)
  • It would also be possible for an image to be printed in a repeating pattern over the throw rather than one single image it would be one single image printed much smaller but repeated over and over to cover the whole sheet.

Terms and Conditions.

  • This competition is open world wide
  • The linky tool will be open for you to submit your post from 6pm on the 30th of September – 11am 2nd October (UK times)
  • By submitting a post on the prompt weekend you are entering the competition unless you state otherwise in your post
  • The winner will receive one of the Sheets of San Francisco’s throws with their winning image printed on it.
  • The winner will be selected from all the possible entries by Sheet of San Francisco and myself (Molly Moore)
  • The winner will be announced here on Thursday 5th October 2017
  • Sheets of San Francisco will be doing promotional work around this competition and using the final product to promote their new print to order service. Entering the competition means you are consenting to this IF you are selected as the winning image
  • If the winning image is not available in a high enough resolution for the printer then another winner will be picked.
  • The usual rules of Sinful Sunday continue to apply.

Sinful Sunday is all about the image.

If you are here for the first time make sure you read up on the rules then grab the code from the side bar, add to your post and leave the link to your post (not the url of your main site) in the list below. If you have any problems or questions then you can always email me at [email protected]

If you are on Twitter please do spread the word about #sinfulsunday by including the hashtag in your tweets and don’t forget to tell your blogging friends about it as well. The more people who join in, the more successful the meme becomes for all who take part.

Each week there is a Sinful Sunday weekly round-up highlighting my (or one of the guest writers) top 5 images from the previous Sunday. All images used are fully credited and linked back to the original post. If anyone objects to having their image used in the round-up then you need to let me know, otherwise I will assume that by taking part you are happy to be featured on the Sinful Sunday site.

One last thing before you go I can’t urge you enough to please comment on people’s work, no matter whether you are a fellow blogger or a consumer of their work I can assure you that all the people who leave their links on this page want to hear what you have to say.
