Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt May 2018

I am delighted to reveal that this month’s prompt, which I am super excited about, because not only do I think it will get all your creative juices flowing but most of all I got to make exciting spinning wheels, is being sponsored by none other than the truly fabulous Doxy.

They are one of those wonderful companies who not only make a super fabulous product but also work really hard to support all sorts of amazing body positive projects and I am delighted to have them here supporting the Sinful Sunday prompt.

The prompt for 6th May 2018 is: Wheel of Photography

Yes I know you are all confused but bear with me and hopefully all will be explained.

The idea behind this challenge is basically a version of a roulette wheel which you spin to create your own individual challenge. Below there are two wheels with various different options in each spoke. The first wheel is all styles or technical aspects of photography and the second wheel are additional elements that must be included in your final image(s). So for example you spin the first wheel and get Mirrors and then you spin the second wheel and get black and white and so your prompt is to create an image that combines those two aspects.

It is possible that there might the odd combination which might be very tricky but ideally I really want you to spin each wheel ONCE and go with the two options you get given rather than re-spinning until you get a combination that you want. If for some reason you truly can’t complete the challenge you end up with then by all means spin again but the real point is to be honest and challenge yourself with whatever the wheel gives you.

When posting your image please do include the results of your wheel spin so that we all know what challenges you were working with. Hopefully we will all end up with different and yet possibly similar challenges. If this prompt goes well and everyone does not complain that they spun horrible combinations and they hate me forever I will bring back the wheels in the future.

The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month. The prompt is completely optional and you can link in as normal on that weekend whether you have used the prompt or not. The usual Sinful Sunday rules will, of course, apply. Please make sure you have read them recently so that you are fully aware of what is and is not allowed.

As always interpret as you wish, or disregard altogether and do you own thing.
