Sinful Sunday Weekly Round-up 418

Topless woman in fishnets

The prompt for May is out now. Can you believe it is already nearly May? Where does the time go?

This week I am delighted to welcome back Zoë to the round-up again. You can find her on her own blog Sex is my New Hobby and on Twitter @sexismynewhobby

Zoë‘s Top 5 Pics of the Week

I may have been on a Sinful Sunday hiatus for a while, and I’m currently only participating sporadically, but I remain a staunch fan of the project. I suffered with body-image issues for years but after contributing regularly for some time I was delighted to find that my body image had improved markedly. Sharing yourself with kind people in a safe space is healing; I’d recommend it to anyone. If you find it difficult to love bits of yourself, let these folks show you how it’s done and then try to take it to heart. Thanks, Molly, for organising it, and thanks to the whole Sinful Sunday community – you’re all amazing.

Kinky and Perky

This shot from Kinky and Perky demonstrates that a photo can be sensual and intimate and (depending on your inclinations) downright sexy, while being subtle and SFW.

Focused and Filthy

Elegant simplicity. Line, pattern, and curve. Clarity of detail (the little glints in the fishnets). Depth of field that contrasts the razor-sharp focus on her legs with the out of focus breast, reiterating its softness. Black fishnets have the effect of emphasizing curves, and this is apparent here – the photo just wouldn’t be the same without them.

Cara Thereon

Cara’s image is a joyous celebration of spring, sunshine, daffodils, skin and self-assured womanhood.

My Controlled Ascent

I’m not usually a fan of filters but this one, coupled with the practical effect of real gold leaf on Kisungura’s skin plus her archetypal beauty, is just so effective that at first I thought this was a found piece.

The Lexy Experiment

That there is another black and white image in my picks is probably no accident. Lexy’s image is all about line: the lines of the deck boards, the lines of sunlight measuring out the shadow of the fence, the line dividing sunlight and shadow, and the line of paint down her centre. I love how the overlay of straight lines interact with the curves of her body, and how the outline of her body (especially on the sunlit side) cuts into the lines below her.
