I was delighted to be asked to do a Sinful Sunday round up – things have been getting on top of me recently and this was a joyous bit of escapism. It’s far too easy to forget the healing power of art when you’re low. I haven’t taken part as much as I’d have liked during lockdown so this really was a wonderful way to reconnect and reignite my love for your photography. As usual, I’ve been blown away by the thought, talent and execution skills of these images, it was so hard to choose only five. I seem to have gone for photos that really made me smile deep inside. Thank you!

A to sub Bee

This photo by Sub Bee drew me straight to it – it gave me all sorts of big feels, from intrigue, awe, desire to ouch! When I went in and clicked on the full-size image, it is a truly stunning piece of art, and the words to go with it are spine tingling. Really powerful combination Bee. One of my all-time favourite Sinful Sunday posts.

Modesty Ablaze

Whenever I want to feel happy, all I need to do is visit Ms Modesty and look at her joyful photos, honestly is one of the most positive and wonderful people on the internet. This photo is no exception, she’s wistfully looking out to days where she gallivants naked in the sun, but she’s looking forward not back, and always Modestly hopeful.

Victoria Blisse

Another exuberant joyful image is Pride 2020 by Victoria Blisse. I adore the colours and the lovely way it’s been edited. We’re all very much missing celebrations and events, but photos like this go a long way to capturing the mood and bringing a smile to our faces. I hope you feel better soon though Victoria!

Sex is my New Hobby

I was really drawn to this crotch shot by Sex is My New Hobby. I love the title and the pride shown for the repair. It’s a really sweet yet sexy image. And kind of a sign of our times where we’re hunkering down and making the most of what we’ve got. I’m always re-using and mending things so this really struck a chord.

Blue Submission

This just captures a real intimacy. The depth of field, the posing, the angle, the lighting, everything is perfect. I looked at it for a long time before reading the caption – I’d been trying to figure out how on earth Blue Submission had managed to capture this shot, on reading the backstory, it’s even more beautiful and took away my stress of trying to work out how it was done! Way more chilled than my frantic mind had it set up. It inspires a lot of thought and intrigue, I won’t be surprised if this image sparks a story or two 😊
