Sinful Sunday Weekly Round-up 485
This Sunday is prompt weekend!
Violet’s Top 5 Pics of the Week
First of all, I’d like to extend a massive thanks to Molly for asking me to do this week’s round up. For a long while I’ve enjoyed the gorgeous images people submit for Sinful Sunday, and it wasn’t easy choosing just five! But having taken on admiring your photos and the imagination behind them, I’ve narrowed down to my five favourites that particularly struck a chord with me.
This post by Rose in particular struck me. Not only is the image a raw and real shot, what was written about the changes birth control can have on the body hit close to home. The last time I took hormonal birth control my own body changed significantly. Also, her talking about how birth control helps her PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) is a reality many live with but I’ve seldom seen talked about. This is my introduction to ‘On Her Back’ and I’m looking forward to seeing more of her work.
Again, this is my intro to another blogger and again, an emotion-stirring post for me. I completely empathised with those moments where you just need to be and held and told everything’s going to be OK. Given the world’s current circumstances, safe to say many of us have been needing that a lot. The picture in itself is gorgeous, with dim lighting highlighting a beautiful body, and the strong arm wrapped around the waist. Being a sucker for a strong forearm, this photograph is as titillating as it is emotional. Well done!
Again, I’m new to Ouzzi’s work (I seriously need to get better at reading more blogs!) and hit hard as she talks about body image and embracing imperfections. Body image is something most of us struggle with, myself included. So Ouzzi’s writing, and absolutely beautiful shot, really hit home how much beauty and perfection there is in one’s perceived imperfections, and how we should embrace them, rather than be ashamed. Thanks again to Molly for having me do the round up this week! And a massive thanks to everyone who put their posts and pictures forward. They were a pleasure to read and peruse!
The Artful Muse’s picture is one that really stood out for me. Reason being is how subtle in beauty it is. I resonated with her words of feeling like living in black and white due to the pandemic, a feeling I’m sure we can all relate to. I’ve always been a sucker for black and white photos, so this photo along with the sensual, cheeky peek we get, brings a bit more colour into our day.
I’ve admired Subbee’s imaginative photographs for a while now, and this one is no exception. Being a sucker for lingerie and stockings in particular, I’ve always found stockings on legs very beautiful. In a classic shot, Subbee captures this beauty completely, offering a delicious tease to leave the viewer wanting more!
