Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt June 2023

The prompt for 4th June 2023 is: Collage

I suspect for many of us when we hear this word we think of either those photo frames you can buy where you can put 4 or 5 images into different frames within the larger frame to create a collage of images or if you want to school in the 80’s, in the UK, then I can pretty much guarantee that at some point you cut up magazines looking for related images and stuck them down to create a collage about (insert chosen subject). However for this prompt tuck the magazines away and focus on creating your own photographic collage.

You can absolutely keep it simple and collect a group of related or semi related images together into one frame or you can try experimenting by layering images or imposing one image within another. The results can often be very abstract.

Below are some links to a couple of pieces about collage photography that might be worth a read. If you are using your phone you can create collages in Snapseed using the double exposure tool which will allow you to import multiple images and layer them and change the amount each one shows. If you a photoshop or something similar user well then you have lots of options and there are lots of tutorials on youtube to help you.

The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month.
