The prompt for 5th November 2017 is: Over Exposed
When an image is over exposed (too bright) it is usually seen as a fault. It occurs when too much light enters through the lens of the camera. It happens when you take a photo in direct sunlight or the light source is too strong for the subject. Clearly it can ruin an image but sometimes it can also make an image, the line between the two though is very fine. If you go too far then you will lose all the detail in the image but if you play around then it is possible to over expose parts of an image thereby create a shot that has stark contrasts or very soft washed out details. So I know you all read the prompt and thought this was about exposing yourself and as per usual feel free to expose as much or as little of yourself as you like but while you are doing so try adding some extra light and see what happens. The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month. The prompt is completely optional and you can link in as normal on that weekend whether you have used the prompt or not. The usual Sinful Sunday rules will, of course, apply. Please make sure you have read them recently so that you are fully aware of what is and is not allowed.
As always interpret as you wish, or disregard altogether and do you own thing.
