Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt November 2021

The prompt for 7th November 2021 is: Motion Blur
Motion blur basically involves some element of your image being blurred as you pick up the movement. It might be that some of the image is held frozen and some aspect blur due to motion or all of the subject is blurred just to motion. It really depends on what you want to achieve.
The way to do this is to have a long shutter speed when you take your image. It can be harder to do in day light or bright light if you don’t know how to adjust your settings on your camera to compensate for that so you may find this easier to achieve in a lower light situation. If you have a DSLR camera though you can definitely achieve this in camera and I have linked to some tutorials below if you have no idea where to start
Motion Blur and how to capture it
Tips for Capturing Motion Blur Photography
If you are using your phone camera. Well if you have an iPhone this tutorial should help
And I have not found a good one for Androids but basically most new phones now will have a pro setting that will allow you to make similar changes that you can in a DSLR so changing shutter speed and ISO etc. Look up how to do that on your android and then follow the introductions for those settings in the DSLR links above.
You can also add a motion blur effect afterwards if you just can’t make it work in camera. Although I would urge you to challenge yourself and try but if not then absolutely edit it in afterwards, because making a picture you are proud of is the most important thing.
If you are lacking inspiration for taking a motion blur nude then just google that term and look at the images. There are a few there which should hopefully help to inspire you also, link to inspiration below
In a spin by Exposing 40
Outtake – I can’t hold him any more by Focused and Filthy
Which Witch (this one I added the motion blur when I edited the image)
The Ghost of Christmas (this one was all done in camera. The only editing is the colour tones)
The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month. The prompt is completely optional and you can link in as normal on that weekend whether you have used the prompt or not. The usual Sinful Sunday rules will, of course, apply. Please make sure you have read them recently so that you are fully aware of what is and is not allowed. As always interpret as you wish, or disregard altogether and do you own thing.
