Sinful Sunday Weekly Round-up 574
Welcome to Weekly Round-up 574. The prompt for May has not been published so hopefully that will give you time to work on your images for that
This week it is my pleasure to welcome back the lovely Holden and Camille to the round-up. If you don’t know their sexy blog then you should fix that. You can find them at Holden and Camille and also on Twitter @h_and_c_dot_com
Holden and Camille’s Top 5 Pics of the Week
We’d like to offer a sincere Thank You to everyone who posted this week, because y’all gave us one of the most entertaining Monday nights we’ve had a in a while! Granted, we stayed up entirely too late and woke up groggy on Tuesday, but it was well worth it for the sheer joy of looking at your images (often repeatedly) and reading your words. Well done, all of you! ~H+C
There were two images this week that got our fingertips tingling because of how well the textures were represented. Granted, this one is not warm and fuzzy, like the second one, but the feelings are just as real and just as masterfully communicated. The Eurythmics quote was an added bonus.
It starts with great lighting and rich color, but the position of the body is the real star. Presenting the torso diagonally was very clever, and invites second and third looks at the shadows and shapes, both light and dark.
This is the second of the texture-rich photos, and we were delighted by both the backstory and the outstanding capture of the floppy-eared dog himself. A keepsake like this should be held close to the heart, as pictured here.
This one made us giggle. It’s smart and brave both in concept and execution, but the minimalist caption is the perfect compliment — Yes, we can definitely assure you that you’re doing this right! A super shot.
Which brings us to our choice for the best image of the week — The soft focus was a brilliant stylistic choice, and the positioning of the open hand is perfect. We can see both hope and trepidation in the invitation, but something tells us optimism will be rewarded.
