Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt Jan 2024
The prompt for 7th Jan 2024 is: Taken from Above
We did this prompt back in 2015 which is a very long time ago so time to give it another outing. This is challenge that is about angles and view points. We have also done shoot from below which will tackle again one day too but this time it is all about being above/over your subject. So get the camera up high and let’s see what ‘Taken from Above’ inspires.
Shooting in this way creates interesting perspectives and view points. If you are close to a subject then you can also play with the depth of field to draw the eye in to a particular detail or feature. You can also use this technique to create enhance a particular narrative or atmosphere. I have included a few examples below of a variety of ways in which taking your picture from above can be used.
The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month. The prompt is completely optional and you can link in as normal on that weekend whether you have used the prompt or not. The usual Sinful Sunday rules will, of course, apply.
