The prompt for 6th October 2019 is: Doors/Doorways

Back in 2016 we kicked off the year with Windows as the prompt. This time your challenge is doors/doorways.

A bit like windows this is definitely a subject challenge but might also be a technical challenge if your door/doorway is also your light source because if it is overly bright you potentially risk over exposing and under exposing your image at the same time. There is potential to create silhouettes in that situation but only if you get the contrasts just right.

Doors can be used to frame your image and give light to it, as well as tell a story. They can give an image a voyeuristic feel, or suggest that someone is leaving or arriving.

Here are some examples of doors/doorway images to help inspire you

Nocturne by Love Hate Sex Cake

Cracks by Annie Savoy

Dirty Bit by Cara Thereon

T is for Tent by Focused and Filthy

The prompt is published here on the site mid month, which will give people approximately 2 weeks to work on their idea before linking in, on the 1st weekend of the month. The prompt is completely optional and you can link in as normal on that weekend whether you have used the prompt or not. The usual Sinful Sunday rules will, of course, apply. Please make sure you have read them recently so that you are fully aware of what is and is not allowed. As always interpret as you wish, or disregard altogether and do you own thing.
