Sinful Sunday Weekly Round-up 636

Welcome to Weekly Round-up 636. The prompt for July is out now and you have just over a week to get your posts sorted out.

In the meantime the round-up this week is in the hands of Accidental Masturbator. He does mention in his intro about the number of people joining in and I just wanted to say a few works about that myself.

Sinful Sunday has been running for over 12 years now. Over those years the number of participants has fluctuated hugely. From 6 – 8 pictures a week up to a record number during a competition that nearly 60 blogs joining in. In recent years the number of active sex/adult bloggers has fallen and so that is reflected on things like this meme. However back in Feb there were 25 links on one of the weekends. Some people blog more often in winter, some take breaks, the result is, numbers are fluid and always have been.

As always, join in if you feel it calling to you but if not, no worries. Sinful Sunday will be here doing it’s thing for the foreseeable future.

Accidental Masturbator’s Top 5 Pics of the Week

It doesn’t seem like 6 years since I first contributed to Sinful Sunday week 301. Sadly, many of the links are now broken, but I’m sure at the time, it was normal for there to be 20+ contributors every week and picking 5 favourites was a different kind of task. By the time I shut down my screens last Sunday, I was disappointed that there were only 8 photos to pick from – disappointed partly because I didn’t feel comfortable leaving out 3 bloggers and picking 5, partly because it’s hard to have too much of a good thing, and partly because it means there aren’t as many contributors as there used to be.

So to those who follow Sinful Sunday but don’t take part [Ed: … and there’s nothing wrong with that …] I say be brave, grab a camera and take a shot. Be bold, be creative, be part of something that isn’t remotely sinful. It doesn’t even have to be a photo of your naked body – my first photo certainly wasn’t. Take a look through the archive and see how many people have joined the party feeling trepidation, but have grown creatively and found a rewarding way to express their sexuality within a supportive community. It also makes it worth the work for Molly who, in case you didn’t know, is fucking fabulous!!!!!!!!

Molly’s Daily Kiss

I love depth of focus in a photograph. A blurred background or foreground can both draw your attention away from and emphasise the primary subject as your eye tries to fill in the details. It also gives a real sense of position, and placed within these beautiful wild flowers, Molly looks as sexy as ever.

My Wild Lens

With the hot weather we’re having at the moment, lounging around in a silk robe sounds like a very good way of staying cool. If it’s not tied at the front, that sound like a good way of getting other people heated up. And who doesn’t like to do both?

Following Floss

There’s a fabulous symmetry to this shot – it almost has an air of Yin & Yang. There’s also a sense both stillness & motion and evidence of before & after. I hope Floss and Mr F had lots of fun leading up to this moment, and I’m very pleased to see they had a happy ending.

It’s a very long time since I bathed or was bathed by someone else. I miss that. The sensuality of mutual care. The permission and trust that is more than implied. This photo reminds me of somewhere I want to be in the hopefully near future.

Sexilicious Ash

I think I want to include this photo … but I don’t know whether I can see all of it, because Sexilicious Ash’s blog requires you to login to read it. I understand the reasons for that, but whilst it goes some way to protect Ash’s identity, it means I have to compromise mine by means of supplying an email address. With the simultaneous rise of prudishness and AI, I feel increasingly protective of my online privacy and spreading my contact details is uncomfortably exposing. Meanwhile, Ash’s thumbnail shows a situation in which one has to accept, if not actively enjoy one’s vulnerability. And cunnilingus is also my very favourite sex act.
