Sinful Sunday Weekly Round-up 684

Modesty ablaze standing on wooden groyne on a beach with her denim dress open showing she is naked for weekly round-up 684

Welcome to Weekly Round-up 684. Don’t forget we are getting close to a new month and so you have just over a week to get working on your prompt image. You can find all the details for the prompt HERE

This week I am delighted to welcome back my dear friend Girl on the Net to the round-up. You can find her being fabulous on her own blog Girl on the Net and on mastodon @GirlOnTheNet

GOTN’s Top 3 Pics of the Week

Molly’s Daily Kiss

Image taken from on the floor behind Molly. She is naked and we are looking up her back and legs. Above her is a skylight and she is reaching up into it. A burst of sunlight is creating a star burst down her back. We can see her pubic hair between her legs and the sky in the window in front of her for post called Oh sun. Weekly round-up 684

It always feels like cheating to pick Molly for Sinful Sunday, because she runs the meme. BUT. She runs
it because she loves photography and is incredible at it, so her pictures often grab me really powerfully.
Molly has a way of capturing feelings in images that I absolutely adore – not just showing off something
sexy/beautiful but adding tones of extra emotion to create a vibe that’s richer and more complex. I can
look at one of Molly’s pictures and instantly feel waves of yearning, or hope, or a kind of gleeful
playfulness, on top of the general sexiness. I think that’s pretty special.

Anyway. That’s a long intro. Sorry, I’ve been out of sorts. I’ve been feeling sluggish and down lately – the
winter took its toll on my body and my energy, then just as I was ready to burst forth from my chrysalis
and fall in love with living again, I was struck down with a horrible cold that lingered and kept me inside.
Molly’s glorious image this week absolutely knocked me sideways with that blissful, joyful sensation of
finally being allowed out to play after making it through miserably long winter nights. The rays of
sunshine bursting through the glass, the way she’s reaching upwards towards them, the way the almost
blindingly bright sky frames her gorgeously shapely silhouette… God. Everything about this picture
screams ‘joy’ and I am so fucking here for it.

Modesty Ablaze

I love Modesty Ablaze’s Scavenger Hunt images because – here’s that ‘J’ word again – they’re always so
joyful. These are no different: sun, sand and sexiness all wrapped into each shot.

This set of pictures is fresh and fun, and my particular favourite is the jaunty shot of Modesty grinning
and cocking her hip, with one hand on the ‘groyne’ itself.

Plus, I really really like the visual pun of getting your groin out in front of a ‘groyne’. No, I am not
ashamed of that. I think we should embrace all aspects of ourselves, from our lovely hot arses and sexy
curves to the part of our brain that instinctively giggles when it hears the word ‘groyne.’

And talking of embracing all aspects of ourselves…

A Leap of Faith

Bare foot sub sitting on block stool with her feet up in front of her body. She has been edited to be multiple layers of herself with a neon light effect

This image really leapt out at me for its use of layered colour, and the fact that it manages to hint at a
spectrum of emotions. Other than ‘horny’, what else do you feel about this shot? I get a kind of
melancholy but also hope, her head turned away feels really reflective and also maybe shy, but the
nakedness gives it a power and strength and total lack of shame that I find really compelling.

I did my best not to read the words that accompany people’s images until I’d picked my top 3 pics,
because I’m so much a ‘words’ rather than visuals person that I always fear the words themselves will
sway my choice when I’m meant to be focusing on photography. So it was a genuine and satisfying
surprise when I read the posts after making my shortlist to find that The Barefoot Sub had intended this to be about multiple layers and my interpretation was pretty much bang on. I also adore the quote she used to accompany it, and I think it’s one that sums up so much of what I love about sex blogging when it’s done well:

Authenticity is the daily practise of letting go of who we think we are supposed to be and
embracing who we are.

Something to aspire to, for sure. Huge thanks to everyone who submitted last week and gave me a peek
into one (or more!) of the aspects that make you authentically you. It’s a really powerful thing to be able
to do, and I’m in awe.
